Commercial Sump Pump Service

Calls from Elgin businesses and building managers reach independent plumbers through this line. When a sump pump fails at an Elgin, IL shop, office, warehouse or apartment building, water can reach stock, records, mechanical rooms or tenants' storage in a shared basement. Saying which pumps are affected, whether there is a backup, and when the trouble began gives the plumber what is needed to plan the visit.

Commercial sump pump problems
Larger buildings may run duplex pumps with alternating controls and alarms. Work may include pump replacement, float and check valve repair, pit cleaning and backup pumps.

What to have ready
Have ready the building type, each pump's location, whether water is on the floor, who can open the space and the ZIP code. Ask for the plumber's Illinois license number and check it in IDPH's online license search.

Call the referral line and describe the building.
